Reflections Pumpkin Patch: Pumpkin Carving Videos & Tips

Pumpkin Carving Event

Doing it again in 2016
at the Reflections Art Festival

On Saturday, October 22, 2016 there will be a pumpkin carving event at the Reflections Art Festival, Prairieland Park, Hall C.

Carving starts at 9 am - and ends at 4:30 pm. The area needs to be cleaned up by 5 pm.

Pumpkins are being donated by Beth Campbell who is hoping that her pumpkin patch does well this season. Any other gardeners with pumpkins are encouraged to donate their pumpkins as well.

The carved pumpkins will be sold on Sunday during the Miniatures Auction with 1/2 of the proceeds going back to the show and the other 1/2 being donated to the Saskatoon Zoo Society.

Anyone wishing to carve a pumpkin just needs to sign up to do so. There will be celebrity carvers invited as well.

Basic carving tools that will be supplied include:
- drywall saw to cut opening
- old knives
- tuna cans to use as scoop
- ice cream scoop
- patterns if desired
- pins to apply patterns
- painter's tape
- paper towel

Carvers are welcome to bring their own specialty tools.
